The long and short of it: This Thermostatic 17T Series TempAssure Precise Dual Temperature and Pressure Control Shower only Faucet is a fully functioning Shower unit complete with a Showerhead. The TempAssure 17T is Deltas newest innovative valve cartridge designed to keep water temperature consistent while maintaining a high water pressure and flow rate. It features a large handle to turn the Shower on and off along with a smaller handle to set the temperature. You can set the temperature however you prefer and then just leave that smaller handle in place. Every time you take a shower you will simply turn it on with the large handle and the water will come out at exactly your preferred level of warmth! Of course adjusting the temperature as desired is easy so it can be changed any time. This fixture also includes the required Rough-in Valve which installs in the wall. PLEASE NOTE: You must install the included rough-in valve to use this fixture. This item is intended for use in new construction and full bathroom renovations where you plan to change the valve in the wall. It WILL NOT be suitable for most retrofit projects!
