Mine is the same exact thing as this current one just with a different item number, probably to indicate a different supplier or something. Anyway, if for it's recommended purpose and given proper maintenance (mainly keeping the oil full and clean, cleaning the air filter, draining the tank after use) this unit will do you well. Can't ask for more! I have a big 2 stage shop compressor for the more demanding jobs and I bought this little one for small jobs because it's portable and great for using inside the house, airing up tires, etc and for those jobs it was great! Never gave me a lick of trouble. Never gave me a lick of trouble. Well unfortunately now my big compressor is out of commission for the time being so I've been forced to use this little guy for not just small jobs but big ones too. As such, sometimes it ends up running continuously for 30+ minutes at a time and it just ain't designed for that. I knew this already but don't have much of a choice at the moment, therefore so far I've had to replace a broken reed valve, make a new valve plate gasket and make a new crankcase-to-cylinder gasket. None of this is the fault of this compressor but rather my own because like I said, it's not made to do the work of a big stationary compressor. Now, a gasket here and a valve there are inconvenient but that actually says good things about this unit because the electric motor never overheats and each time I've had the pump apart for repairs, the bore and cylinder rings didn't show signs of heat damage. Only minor parts have broken so far! So if you need a good portable compressor and don't intend to overwork it, this is the machine you want.
